DON'T BE JUDGEMENTAL; PRAY INSTEAD.

One thing I'm still learning to do is not being judgemental.  You don't owe anybody anything? Common that's not true; we owe everyone a word of prayer. Remember the prodigal son? (Luke 15:11-32). He was stubborn, rude, not likeable for all the ugly things he had done. No parent or individual will be pleased with whomsoever that waste their wealth especially when this wealth wasn't easy to come by yet this was exactly what the prodigal son did. He squandered everything. Let's look at this story from this angle. I believe his father must have been very hurt and sad like most of our parents would have been, but I also believe his father has interceded for him even though he wasn't pleased with this younger son of his. It's always hard for parents to give up on their children most especially the wayward ones. I'm speaking from experience 😁. So my grandma has this child ( one of my uncles) that is always a source of concern. Even when everybody gave up on hi...

ONE RANDOM THOUGHT

One way to truly serve God and obey Him is by freeing ourselves from DOCTRINE. Doctrine to me is just the law in disguise. Our manual for TRUE CHRISTIANITY should forever remain the BIBLE. The bible is the only book through which God speaks to His own. Each denomination (Church ) has its doctrine that may/is contrary to the doctrine of another denomination. We were thought as children to follow these doctrines, we were made to live out these doctrines because this is how they believed a Christian should live ( I'm not totally against doctrines though, some are cool while some aren't)..we were freed from the law only to be made slaves to doctrines and church dogmas (the dos and don'ts). Our only doctrine should be following in the footsteps of Christ according to the pattern(blueprint)(Exodus 25:40) that God has made for each of us; the same way our purpose and predestination are peculiar to each of us is the same way God's pattern for each of us varies. We just ...

GOD’S OWN ELECT.

Introduction.  Elect is derived from the Latin word electus which means Chosen or Selected. In theology, elect means; - Chosen as a subject of mercy; - Chosen, selected or designated to eternal life; predestination in the divine counsels. Based on these definitions, God’s own elect means chosen or personally selected by God; a life predestined by God’s mercy. Let’s see what God has to say through Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 2:9-10 (KJV) 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.’’ I’ve highlighted some important points in this scripture. Through this scripture we understand we are a people chosen by God, a peculiar people and not just any kind of breed. We’ve been selected, separated from the rest and most...

TALK TO THE FATHER

Just within the week on that particular day, I woke up feeling sad, depressed in fact I was just feeling out of place that morning. I just kept thinking of some sad memories, some things I've had to go through personally and of course some things we've gone through as a family and the funny thing was I really didn't know what actually triggered those memories. I really wanted to call my Dad to talk to him and tell him how I was feeling but I really couldn't even explain exactly what  I was actually feeling and I really didn't also want him to feel disturbed especially since I'm far from home.  Then all of a sudden I was really shedding very hot tears.  In the midst of my tears and all the sad feelings, I just began talking to God, I told Him exactly what I was feeling even when words couldn't explain exactly what I was feeling but I knew He definitely understood. I really poured out my heart to Him because at that point I knew He was the best person to talk ...

DON'T BE A SELFISH CHRISTIAN😣🤔🤨😔

For sometime now, God has been bringing my attention to alot of things that many of us thinks doesn't matter. I'd like us to ask ourselves some questions Why was I saved? What is God's purpose for making me saved? Why am I part of my family and not any other family? Why do I come in contact with or have alot of people around me? I hope your Holy Spirit convicts us as we answer those questions. Do you know that one of our assignment here on earth as Christians is INTERCESSION? Yes intercession. We've been called to intercede for others not just our nuclear family members alone. At the beginning of the year, my friend and I felt so hurt and disappointed about something that happened around us like we actually didn't expect this from those involved. That particular sunday we refused going to church because we felt deeply hurt and all those stuffs but trust God na😂 Everytime we kept talking about the issues making it more painful until the Holy Spir...

SO YOU LATER CAME HERE😲

One of my dad's favorite phrase when teaching about heaven and hell is " So you later came here". Funny right but not funny. Many people today claim they are "Christians " and it's really wonderful but trust me Chritainity is beyond the name Christian. You might be a faithful Christian by human standards but what about God's standard? Does the Father know and recognize you as a Son? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you're a Co-heir with Christ? It really will be a painful thing for us to labour here on earth, for us to give up worldly desires and the lot but to end up in hell. It will be very painful and heart wrenching for the devil to tell us on the last day, "SO YOU LATER CAME HERE" after all the binding we did here on earth. He that stands should take heed lest he falls. When last did you examine yourself? When last did you ask for more of the Spirit? When last did you ask to Know more of the Father ...

THE BESTFRIEND OF ALL TIME

Growing up, I use to be pretty much this kid that kept alot to herself. I really didn't know how to Express myself so I kept a whole lot of things in my heart. I didn't know how to ask for things i wanted for myself or how to seek advice or tell someone about a situation i might be in. But the good news is this; I had a pretty bad awesome bestfriend of all times. I felt confident having this bestfriend. I felt I had the world's greatest treasure and of course He is amongst the greatest treasures of the world. I had the ever charming, sweet, awesome, pretty Holy Spirit as my bestfriend. I remember days where I would feel heavy and I'll just start telling the Holy Spirit how bad or how hurt I felt. I felt relieved of all my hurt because this Third person in trinity is my friend. The best thing that can ever happen to anyone is having this Spirit of Life as a confidant. Remember that adage that says show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are? Wh...

TURNING YOUR STONES INTO BREAD

Can I hear somebody saying it's been a like ages?😊 Worry no more this girl is back💃. The past one month or so has been an amazing one with the Father. I get to see Him in a different dimension every single day. I had a very amazing funny experience with God which I'll be sharing today. Couple of weeks ago, we had a fast a 3day fast in church. It was super amazing.🤗 The first day of fasting was just so easy for me, like I do these things na so I thought oooo. I was so so filled with energy and zeal to pray with fellow believers. The thing was just shacking me anyhow anyhow🤣 On the second day of fasting, guess what; the devil practically came knocking on my door. At about 3am in the morning I felt so hungry like I haven't seen food in my life before. I was like devil you plan won't work ooo. Trust me, I had alot of things to bring to God's table, I had a lot of concerns and things stressing me out. I needed to pray and here comes the devil but guess...

A PIECE OF MY THOUGHT

Recently, I've heard people using the phrase ''The Church Has Failed Us''. So I decided to ask myself some questions; which church do they refer to, the building or themselves? I know it may sound crazy but just take out time to ponder with me. if they refer to the ''church building'' then the building can't help us any way, but if they refer to the church as ''people'' then yes they might have failed us. As Christians, we should always be ready to be stepped on by people,  we should be ready to be seriously beaten and barter by fellow brethren. This isn't a good reason to stop going to church. Ask yourself, is it really worth it? You and I are also part of the church. When Jesus was speaking about the Church He wasn't referring to the building but to us, So don't let that brother, sister or whoever it is to be your reason of skipping or leaving a church. It isn't really worth and deep down you also know. Th...

THE WAIT

Growing up, one of my Dad's favorite scripture was or is Habakkuk 2:3, ''though it tarries it shall come to pass...''. I heard this particular scripture a lot of times while growing but did I really understand it? Another favorite song of my dad is '' I don't mind waiting on you, Lord''. I remember singing this song a number of times during devotions, but did I really understand what it meant? The Wait, Waiting. Waiting is one very difficult thing to do. I have come to a place in life where I no longer mind what happens to me or the future ahead. I have come to a point in life where everything this girl ever wants is Him(God). Life no longer bothers me because I have this assurance in God. I have come to a point where I totally depend on God. For a couple of months now, God has been teaching me how to wait genuinely on Him. For the past 3 or so months, I've been living my life without a smartphone. I have to rely on my computer to ...

BEFORE IT GETS TO YOUR HEAD

Another small story of my life lol. okay let's be serious now. I was never the worship leader kind of person to begin with though I'm bit of a singer. I love worship, I love worship ministers and I used to wish I can. I had this fear and insecurity when it comes to worship ministrations, I was afraid of the call and response part of. I already concluded I wasn't made for that; hell no. As days turned into months and months into years, I began to gather momentum from friends that actually believed I was going to be a great worship leader. I took the challenge, I had to challenge my fears and insecurities. I remember taking a very big bold step, I walked up to my Music Director and I told him '' I want to lead worship next Sunday'' with my body still enveloped with fear. He told sure, go ahead. I went home and I was like '' Oge who send you this one now?'' My insecurities were still getting the best of me. so I did what I could do, I fast...

PRIVATE JESUS, PUBLIC JESUS

I remember when I became filled with the Holy Spirit as a teenager.  When I look back and begin to think about it, i just laugh. I've really done lots and lots of crazy things. You know, I never wanted anyone to hear me speak in tongues when ever I prayed🙈; I guess I was shy or so. I didn't want any to laugh  at me, I wasn't confident in me. There was time in church when census was taken, we were asked to stand up if we knew we had the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I stood up quietly and my cousin sat beside me. When she saw me stand she said, "abeg sitdown you no follow, you even know wetin dem dey talk". The funny this was she wasn't even whispering, it was so laud.  I just felt like the ground should open let me get inside but thank God my Md  then resolved my awkwardness. There are many Christians who are just like the old me, keeping their Jesus private. There are so many of us who have buried our talents because we don't want our friends to loo...

DARK TIMES

I've been pondering/meditating on Psalms 23 recent and I kept asking myself over and over again if I truly understood this scripture. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou hath with me". This particular verse caught my attention. Funny enough we say as though we understand  but ask yourself this question: If truly I go through difficult times will I still remember He is with me? At one point or another, we've had to go difficult times. Times when it seems as if God is far from you. Times when you begin to question if God's promises are actually true. Times when you're truly eager to hear God speak but you can't hear anything to comfort your soul. Those times when we walk through death's door, those times when you get to the end of the tunnel yet you can't find a shred of light. Whenever you feel as though you can't see Him(God), He's closer than you think. He just wants you to have him as...

REAL ISSUES

Today is one of those days I get a bit emotional.  I was talking with an old classmate today and we kept talking about howfar we've gone in life and reminiscing about the good old days. I was born and raised by Godly parents. I had a very strict upbringing thereby creating a particular triangle of my life.                           House         Shop                                   church I really can't tell when I started writing but I know I grew up writing about anything that comes to mind. My parents weren't aware though, they just know I'm different from the rest. Nobody really discriminated against me until one faithful day in 2013 when I was in the University. There was this man that normally comes to speak to us and sell his magazine.  He was an amazing speaker. I thought I could ...

THE GOD CHASER

Over the years, I hear people say they have a scripture for their life and I'm like when will I get mine🤗 I have read scriptures but it seems as if non of them seems to fit my life ( really dont know if this sentence is correct but all the same forgive my errors😊). A few years I got a scripture for my life and it has been amazing🤩. Today we are going on a journey to see how amazing God truly is. Can I hear someone asking to know about this scripture? Calm down, calm down we are getting there😋 Matthew 6:33- Seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything other thing shall be added unto you. Seek ye first...... The present day Christian finds it difficult to seek or chase after God. We ought to be God chasers I.e we ought to diligently go after the things of God. Let me shock you a little There's no way you'll go after God's business that He will forget about your own business. One of our primary assignments as Christians is service. Just serve H...
