LIFE LESSONS || MOSQUITOES

First of all I want to appreciate everyone that has inspired and encouraged me one way or another I really love you and a big thank you. To all those who still believe in me and take out time to go through my blog thanks. Least I forget Happy new month to you all, I love you big time. There's this African proverb that has really inspired and got me thinking for a very long long time, '' If you think you're to small to make a difference then you haven't slept a night with a mosquito'' and its very true. There is this thing about mosquitoes apart from being a vector for Plasmodium, it has the ability to wake you up trust me and it fears no man. Imagine a scenario where you're having a very good sleep and a tiny little thing just woke you up how would you feel? Okay let's forget the feelings and move on. Some persons are like I'm to small for that, I won't make it through, I'm not qualified etc. You don't need to be qualified for you t...

Doctors gave Amy just 2% chance of survival. Two years later she received a kidney transplant from her father.    Amy began snowboarding seven months after she received her leg prosthetics. iMONDAY || JENNIFER BRICKER

     Jen Bricker was given away by her biological parents immediately after birth and left in an orphanage in Romania, but she was adopted by a couple from a small town in Illinois and raised along their three boys. She was raised to believe that she could do anything  they could do, and ''can't'' wasn't a part of a vocabulary.      Jennifer Bricker dreamed of being a gymnast from a young age. Bricker had one challenge to overcome: She was born without legs.      While she used a wheel chair to keep away from dirt, she says, she could propel herself anywhere she wanted to go with her arms. Climbing trees was a favourite past-time and she played sports from a young age, including baseball, basketball and yes gymnastics.       She started tumbling from a young age learning how to do acrobats moves on a  trampoline in her parent's yard. Soon , she began tumbling professionally and even became ...

TEENS are AWESOME

The most interesting set of persons I've come across and worked with are teens and I really do love everything about them though their rebellion isn't funny but its interesting. I love teenagers like I really do love them, I love being around them really and yes I know they maybe be awkward and stereotypic but this is also interesting. I love being a teen teacher hmmm and I really use to be one, love hanging out with them and oh my God I love to hear them talk because its really amazing trust me.    We all adults have gone through the teen stage. Being a teen is more than just being rebellious. Its actually the first time we begin to ask real questions like 'why do it this way while not my way' then secretly your parent begin to whisper to each other he/she is really growing fast and we also beginning to make choices. Teens want to do things their way, they are really not satisfied with you shopping for them unless they go with you to make their choice and if yo...

WHY ME

               Why was I made to live here         Doing my things here and there         What is my purpose I asked myself         Discovering it was more than lifting an axe itself         Closing my eyes         Feeling the chills of an ice         Asking myself why me?                  Why me why me         Why isn't it someone else         What is it that I could gain         Being severally opposed         Taking my post         But was I fair enough  ...

Inspiration-Round about

I actually didn't really know what the title was going to be but the title isn't really a bad idea right? Okay let's keep moving. I was going through a friend's blog and something inspiring struck me. She was actually referring to a stuff she saw on Facebook talking about inspiration which is actually bringing us to our discus.   Inspiration is the arousal of the mind to a special activity or creativity. Inspiration is that  something that makes someone want to do something or that gives an idea about what to do or create, its this burning desire we get as though we are intoxicated trust me but the big question is where does inspiration come from? Are to wait to get inspired? Inspiration is round about us. Its in the songs we sing, the air we breathe, in the people we met,the books we read, its in our discussions, the trees and everything you could ever imagine: it comes from God. All you have to do is listen, be on guard reading meaning into natu...

BE YOUR OWN KIND OF BEAUTIFUL

    Looking at my self in the mirror I told myself girl you're beautiful. Stepping out doing my thing and he said I want to tell you some stuff and guess what my ears where already up because I kinda love stories funny right? Going closer anticipating the story for the day and he whisper into my ears YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL and I felt so fly.       In life we should learn how to appreciate ourselves first and others will follow suit. Tell your self how gracious you are and others will tell you same. Being your own kind of beautiful is appreciating who you are. Trust me no one is ugly. Beauty is one thing that resides within you, it shines forth from inside of you to those around you. Beauty is more than the physical looks, the figure eight shape, a good looking face or what have you. Beauty is your kind of person, the way you relate with others, your attitude etc.    In spite of what any one tell you appreciate your self daily. Be your self...

AFRICA

The possessor of the tropics The home of the negros Her strength is in her diversity Her honour is black. The symbol of motherhood The pride of her children Her beauty is in her colour Her number is more than zero. From the rising of the sun To the setting thereof Is her name enchanted And her name is AFRICA.

PAPA BLUE

   Years back as a kid I came across this very interesting commercial for the Vicks blue medicated methanol lozenges. The man used in this commercial was funny though but after all said and down he gave the lozenges a nick name "Papa Blue" and up until now people still refer to the lozenges as Papa Blue even though some don't really know how the name came about. That's how life works.   Bringing this commercial down to our very lives, Do people have our names on their lips? What I mean is this- Have we been able to make impact on others? You may or maybe not agree with me that some persons live the I don't care kind of life but the truth is it doesn't help. We ought to learn living our lives with the mindset of impacting others positively so when we are no more or even now our footprint will be left in the sand of time. We are here to make impact to even the generation yet unborn not just to occupy space. In the words of Warren Buffet "Someone is sitting...
