I've been pondering/meditating on Psalms 23 recent and I kept asking myself over and over again if I truly understood this scripture.
"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou hath with me". This particular verse caught my attention. Funny enough we say as though we understand but ask yourself this question: If truly I go through difficult times will I still remember He is with me?
At one point or another, we've had to go difficult times. Times when it seems as if God is far from you. Times when you begin to question if God's promises are actually true. Times when you're truly eager to hear God speak but you can't hear anything to comfort your soul. Those times when we walk through death's door, those times when you get to the end of the tunnel yet you can't find a shred of light.
Whenever you feel as though you can't see Him(God), He's closer than you think. He just wants you to have him as your only option.
When you go true life struggles God is always with you even when you can't seem to feel him around you.
Last year was a very challenging year for me. I had to go through a whole lot just to be where I am today. I remember telling my dad if he's not surprised I could actually scale through and he said something to me that I would never forget.
He said "I know God is with you".
Seriously, I still can't explain how I felt that day but I know it feels good to know that God is with you. It feels good to know there's someone up there watching your back. It feels good to know you have your own special kind of Godfather 🤣
Where you are now is not the end of the road for you, God is there with you. The tears you shed don't fall on your pillows, it falls into the palm of His hands. You cares and struggles dont just go unnoticed, it is deeply engraved in His heart.
Look closely
Listen carefully
He is there right beside you.
I'm not telling you God is good because I was taught by my parents or because I was born and raised in a Christian home: I'm telling you God is good because of what I have seen him do for me.
Dont give, He's there with you.
