DARK TIMES

I've been pondering/meditating on Psalms 23 recent and I kept asking myself over and over again if I truly understood this scripture.

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou hath with me". This particular verse caught my attention. Funny enough we say as though we understand  but ask yourself this question: If truly I go through difficult times will I still remember He is with me?

At one point or another, we've had to go difficult times. Times when it seems as if God is far from you. Times when you begin to question if God's promises are actually true. Times when you're truly eager to hear God speak but you can't hear anything to comfort your soul. Those times when we walk through death's door, those times when you get to the end of the tunnel yet you can't find a shred of light.

Whenever you feel as though you can't see Him(God), He's closer than you think. He just wants you to have him as your only option.
When you go true life struggles God is always with you even when you can't seem to feel him around you.

Last year was a very challenging year for me. I had to go through a whole lot just to be where I am today. I remember telling my dad if he's not surprised I could actually scale through and he said something to me that I would never forget.

He said "I know God is with you".

Seriously, I still can't explain how I felt that day but I know it feels good to know that God is with you. It feels good to know there's someone up there watching your back. It feels good to know you have your own special kind of Godfather 🤣

Where you are now is not the end of the road for you, God is there with you. The tears you shed don't fall on your pillows, it falls into the palm of His hands. You cares and struggles dont just go unnoticed, it is deeply engraved in His heart.

Look closely
Listen carefully
He is there right beside you.

I'm not telling you God is good because I was taught by my parents or because I was born and raised in a Christian home: I'm telling you God is good because of what I have seen him do for me.

Dont give, He's there with you.

PAPA BLUE

Years back as a kid I came across this very interesting commercial for the Vicks blue medicated methanol lozenges. The man used in this commercial was funny though but after all said and down he gave the lozenges a nick name "Papa Blue" and up until now people still refer to the lozenges as Papa Blue even though some don't really know how the name came about. That's how life works.   Bringing this commercial down to our very lives, Do people have our names on their lips? What I mean is this- Have we been able to make impact on others? You may or maybe not agree with me that some persons live the I don't care kind of life but the truth is it doesn't help. We ought to learn living our lives with the mindset of impacting others positively so when we are no more or even now our footprint will be left in the sand of time. We are here to make impact to even the generation yet unborn not just to occupy space. In the words of Warren Buffet "Someone is sitting...

AND HER LOOKS I STOLE

An heroine she was An epitome of beauty Her skin as fair as the lilies Her eyes glows like the sun Her hair was black and beautiful It was her in my father's heart The first one he ever loved It was her in our hearts And her looks I stole A woman of strength A picture of virtue and fame She soils her hands in seasons Making the family one My first best friend Her pride I was Her firstborn child And her looks I stole Get me something was our last Mummy mummy I called But there wasn't one to answer I was furious at her Where could she have gone I thought Why isn't she here She travelled I was told I didn't know she was gone It was her in our Heart A vacuum has been created We were told to put it behind Years has passed Our heroine, Our strength And her looks I stole.
