PRIVATE JESUS, PUBLIC JESUS

I remember when I became filled with the Holy Spirit as a teenager.  When I look back and begin to think about it, i just laugh. I've really done lots and lots of crazy things. You know, I never wanted anyone to hear me speak in tongues when ever I prayed🙈; I guess I was shy or so. I didn't want any to laugh  at me, I wasn't confident in me.

There was time in church when census was taken, we were asked to stand up if we knew we had the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I stood up quietly and my cousin sat beside me. When she saw me stand she said, "abeg sitdown you no follow, you even know wetin dem dey talk". The funny this was she wasn't even whispering, it was so laud.  I just felt like the ground should open let me get inside but thank God my Md  then resolved my awkwardness.

There are many Christians who are just like the old me, keeping their Jesus private. There are so many of us who have buried our talents because we don't want our friends to look down on us, we dont want people to call us "church girl/boy".

Your salvation isn't just for your benefit.  Your relationship with God isn't just for you to boast but rather to draw men into the knowledge of Him that has called. You no longer need to be private with the Jesus you carry, it's time to go public with him. Paul said, "for I am not ashamed of the gospel". Be a fine girl/boy that carries Jesus. The swag and style you're looking for is also in Him. The only thing that can differentiate you from that your colleague is the level of God you know and operate on.

Let the whole world know whose child you are. The more you keep Him private, the more He withdraws from you. Just imagine this Jesus that wasn't ashamed to be nailed on the cross just for us. Imagine this Jesus that publicly went to the cross for us. Imagine Him being publicly brutalized for our sake. If He can, why can't we go public for Him.

I dont know about you but I want everyone to see God in this girl, I want everyone to know my existence is solely because of him. I no longer care what others might say, I no longer care if anyone calls me foolish and stupid. I'm willing to bear whatever comes my way because of Him.

It's time to go public with Him.
In Him alone we find our being.
Let the world know He is your father
It's no longer business as usual
Go public with Him.

PAPA BLUE

Years back as a kid I came across this very interesting commercial for the Vicks blue medicated methanol lozenges. The man used in this commercial was funny though but after all said and down he gave the lozenges a nick name "Papa Blue" and up until now people still refer to the lozenges as Papa Blue even though some don't really know how the name came about. That's how life works.   Bringing this commercial down to our very lives, Do people have our names on their lips? What I mean is this- Have we been able to make impact on others? You may or maybe not agree with me that some persons live the I don't care kind of life but the truth is it doesn't help. We ought to learn living our lives with the mindset of impacting others positively so when we are no more or even now our footprint will be left in the sand of time. We are here to make impact to even the generation yet unborn not just to occupy space. In the words of Warren Buffet "Someone is sitting...

AND HER LOOKS I STOLE

An heroine she was An epitome of beauty Her skin as fair as the lilies Her eyes glows like the sun Her hair was black and beautiful It was her in my father's heart The first one he ever loved It was her in our hearts And her looks I stole A woman of strength A picture of virtue and fame She soils her hands in seasons Making the family one My first best friend Her pride I was Her firstborn child And her looks I stole Get me something was our last Mummy mummy I called But there wasn't one to answer I was furious at her Where could she have gone I thought Why isn't she here She travelled I was told I didn't know she was gone It was her in our Heart A vacuum has been created We were told to put it behind Years has passed Our heroine, Our strength And her looks I stole.
