Get-Up

When a bowl is broken in Japan, it's put back together with the cracks filled with gold creating a beautiful lining. This emphasis the beauty in what was once broken. They believe that when something has suffered damage and has a history, it makes it more beautiful and that goes for us too.

At one time in our life we must have felt lonely, dejected, broken or any other kind of struggles. This shouldn't determine the next phase of our life or how we should live our lives.

Everything we've been through doesn't stop us from moving forward or achieving our goals instead it should propel or motivate us. The struggles we've been through adds more beauty to our lives. We shouldn't just remain stagnant but get up and show the world the stuff we are made of. We should proudly show the world our scars that is filled with gold.

Turning something that is ugly into something beautiful and inspiring makes you a stronger person. If what you've been through is inspiration to others then its worth it.

You're not broken beyond repair

You can pick yourself up

The world is waiting for you

GET-UP.

You may or maybe not agree with me that some persons live the I don't care kind of life but the truth is it doesn't help. We ought to learn living our lives with the mindset of impacting others positively so when we are no more or even now our footprint will be left in the sand of time. We are here to make impact to even the generation yet unborn not just to occupy space. In the words of Warren Buffet "Someone is sitting...

AND HER LOOKS I STOLE

An heroine she was An epitome of beauty Her skin as fair as the lilies Her eyes glows like the sun Her hair was black and beautiful It was her in my father's heart The first one he ever loved It was her in our hearts And her looks I stole A woman of strength A picture of virtue and fame She soils her hands in seasons Making the family one My first best friend Her pride I was Her firstborn child And her looks I stole Get me something was our last Mummy mummy I called But there wasn't one to answer I was furious at her Where could she have gone I thought Why isn't she here She travelled I was told I didn't know she was gone It was her in our Heart A vacuum has been created We were told to put it behind Years has passed Our heroine, Our strength And her looks I stole.
